Our approach

Learning through play, guided with purpose.

The first five years are the most formative of a child's life. At CCCC, children learn through hands-on play: building, pretending, painting, singing, and exploring outdoors. Teachers guide that play with purpose, meeting each child where they are.

Our curriculum: Lessons follow a weekly theme using The Creative Curriculum, a research-based framework that covers early literacy, math, science, art, music, and dramatic play. We pair it with Al's Pals, which helps children name their feelings, solve problems, and make friends.

Every day includes

  • Child-led learning centers
  • Teacher-led group time
  • Outdoor play, weather permitting

Five age groups, one warm community

Children move through five age groups. Each one is full-time and year-round.

Infant classroom with cribs and soft play area

Infants

12 weeks – 1 year

  • 1:3
    children per teacher

Your baby's day follows their own rhythm for eating, sleeping, and play. Teachers cuddle, talk, sing, and read with each infant, and send a daily note on feedings, naps, and milestones. Babies usually move up to the Toddler room around 12 months, once they're standing, starting to walk, using a sippy cup, and eating table food.

New walkers and talkers get plenty of space to move and explore. Simple routines, songs, and sensory play build early language and independence.

Twos learn to play alongside friends, use their words, and try things on their own. We support toilet learning in partnership with families.

Threes classroom

Threes

3 – 4 years

  • 1:8
    children per teacher

Threes dive into pretend play, art, early counting, and letters. They practice sharing, taking turns, and solving small problems together.

Pre-K

4 – 5 years

  • 1:10
    children per teacher

Our oldest learners get ready for kindergarten with early literacy, math, science projects, and plenty of practice following routines, working in groups, and expressing big ideas.

The number of classrooms for each age group depends on enrollment and may change from year to year.

Alumni welcome back. Children who've moved on to kindergarten can return for summer camp and school days off until they turn 7, on a first-come, first-served basis as space allows.
